The Sun shows its interest in politics

In September last year, The Sun decided it would support David Cameron and the Conservatives at the forthcoming election.

Yesterday, Cameron fired the first salvos in the election campaign, with the publication of a draft manifesto on the NHS and advertising on over 1,000 billboards across the country.

So surely The Sun would follow the Guardian, Independent, Telegraph, FT and Times in running politics on the front page of today's paper, and be effusive in praise of the Tories:
Ah. No. They went for the vitally important 'two people who used to be in Eastenders split-up four days ago' story instead.
