Alas, nine paragraphs into the story, this quote from the car's owner:
'And the engine turned over when we tried it with the starter handle, but I didn't try to start her up in case I did any damage but I'm sure it would go'.
Ah.
Then last week, the Mail produced this tale of the unexpected:
He 'appears' to have come back from the dead? Really?
Well, no. The cat the family buried looked like Alfie, but wasn't actually their pet moggie at all.
As one of the comments says:
(Hat-tips to Jeff Pickthall and the Mailwatch Forum)
ha, brilliant.
ReplyDeleteQuite a few comments underneath pointing that out, which is reassuring, considering the usual dross to be found under a DM article.
You don't have to post this - but unless, they're somehow posting viruses or dodgy links (can you tell I don't know much about the internet?) then isn't it best to leave the troll activity up? I'm guessing most of the time it simply proves your point, whilst giving everyone else a good/depressing laugh. Anyway, keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteTemplefoot - Thanks. I have left most of what he did post up (although deleted one that could have been legally questionable) because I think you're right - he's damned by his own petty words.
ReplyDeleteThe problem was the comments were becoming arguments about him in which he had to have the last word. If he wants to have arguments with people, he can start his own blog. He's not going to use my blog as a platform for that and turn it into a joke.
In total he wrote 17 comments totalling over 3,300 words in a few days - many of his comments longer than than the post they were attached too. I think that's going a little too far!
