So the Press Complaints Commission have revealed the 'independent' panel who are going to conduct a review of the newspaper regulator.
Leading this 'independent' panel is Vivien Hepworth, who was member of the PCC for eight years.
Her first 'independent' helper is Dr Elizabeth Vallance, who sits on the PCC Appointments Panel.
Then there's Eddie Young, former Group Legal Adviser of Associated Newspapers. Associated own the Daily Mail, and the Mail's editor Paul Dacre chairs the Editor's Code Committee.
Finally, Stephen Haddrill, former DTI civil servant and now Director General of the Association of British Insurers.
So two people linked to the PCC, and another who has been a newspaper lawyer.
Anyone reassured that this will produce anything of note?
Anyone?
